I wish I had a better intro for this, but I just wanted to share all the awesome stuff I got into this month. Think of this like a photo dump with hashed out captions, ya know?
Eats -
Drew hosted a hibachi night at his house and almost melted the siding off of his house.10/10 on effort and execution.
March in Charleston is ideal weather - warm without the humidity. This is the perfect time of year to sit outside in the afternoon and enjoy live music with a beverage in hand!
Drew and I stopped by Blind Tiger for chargrilled oysters, bevs, and live music.
Had two of the best meals of my entire life at Estadio and Sorelle, highlights were definitely the “snack bowl” at Estadio, as well as the very slow pace at Sorelle. Seriously - the front of house staff must be trained to walk incredibly slow and maintain intense eye contact.
Unfortunately, we slacked on photos at Sorelle even though we ate so much. Don’t skip the octopus, it was so good!
Enjoyed happy hour at Babas while I edited my Faye Webster album review. An iced whipped honey espresso followed by a tiny tini with a lemon twist..chef’s kiss.
The girls tried a new bar - The Peacock, and we especially liked the cocktail named “Giggle Juice”, we’re excited to go back!
Others -
Watched the CAA Championship and was featured in a news segment, later that night I educated myself on how to execute a pick and roll.
I attended my first Creative Mornings session with a talk on “Perspective” by Joey Welling, founder of Ethos Athletic Club. Joey talked a lot about the movie Good Will Hunting, which is one of my favorites. Of the entire month, I’m most excited to attend my next Creative Mornings session, and highly recommend this experience to anyone!
We ventured to Music Hall to watch the Cancelled Podcast live, which was a fun change of pace on a Friday night.
Tried an outdoor barre class on the first day of spring in Hampton Park, which could’ve been so fun but unfortunately there were bugs EVERYWHERE.
I continued my streak of trivia each week, but switched it up to play trivia at Fuel with Morgan. We gave it our best shot! Every week, we come up with a different name, my favorites so far have been “Pappy and the Smears” (Morgan and I) and “Jimmy John University.”
Celebrated St Pattys all weekend, to my detriment.
Worked a really fun live show with Easy Honey, shooting content for their social media, later got to shoot content with them on a tugboat for @thetugboatsessions on instagram.
Celebrated my last parents weekend, bittersweet!
Took our graduation photos in the Cistern, on bike taxis, and (naturally) at Uptown Social.
Of course, my shoes have maraschino cherries in them. I have to hold back on posting every photo, they’re all incredible! (Credits to @emilyreesetphotography on instagram)
